Essential Movements Workshop
Essential Movements are the basic movements we all need to do as we move throughout our day. We repeat these movements hundreds of times each day so it is important to perform them in the right way while using the right muscles. We started to learn how to control our body as infants and as we aged, progressed in the skill of movement to more complex movements that allow us to function at our best in our daily activities. However, over time, most people have adapted these motions to accommodate illness, injury, or other body challenges, and that can cause low level, widespread strain and result in inflammation and wear and tear on our body. The great news is we can re-learn how to move properly, or in an appropriately adapted way, to reduce the strain on our body, eliminate pain, and help us live more meaningful lives.
