Our Care Options
We understand that many people have been searching for a cure to their physical pain or chronic issue for a long time and that this can be an incredibly frustrating experience. We’ve worked with people who have been unable to find hope anywhere else. We help people find strategies that work to reduce or eliminate their symptoms and manage their chronic condition. Below is a list of the most common conditions, diagnosis and symptoms that we have successfully treated with our approach:
Back Pain
Our backs take a lot of strain in life. We sit a lot, stare at computer screens, get in the car and drive, we may even be weekend warriors, looking to enjoy our favorite sport or get that last project done around the house. The result, you back hurts. You get a massage, see the Doctor for a muscle relaxant, even get strengthening exercise and stretches from your Physical Therapist, but it keeps happening.
But has anyone looked at the front of your body or how your pelvis is positioned? Often the muscles and fascia deep but directly in front of your low back is tight and shortened from excessive sitting, inactivity and overuse. So often the muscle and fascial structures become so shortened that it stresses your back muscles pulling them so far forward that they spasm in pain.
Myofascial Release returns flexibility to our body. Myofascial Release addresses all areas, concentrating on the all deep muscles and fascia that are connected to the back. Once the strain is removed from the muscles and fascia, the spine can resume its normal place.
Joint Pain
As we age, we experience stress and wear in our bodies and especially in our joints. Patients who come in for treatment of joint pain, like knee pain for instance, are often given medication and told that they should expect surgery down the road. They often are told they have abnormal wearing of the joint or arthritis, and they may. But it is often the abnormal tightness of the muscles and fascia that causes constant pressure and irritation to the joint, causing pain. Remove the abnormal strain and the joint can function more normally.
The natural or degenerative changes may still be there from the stress and wear. But because the joint functions more normally the pain is often less, or even gone. And reduced stress on the joint may actually allow you to postpone that surgery for some time to come.
Female Pelvic Pain and Dysfunction
The pelvis is the foundation of our body and is key to skeletal balance, a sense of orientation and muscular strength and coordination. The pelvis is responsible for transferring the forces of the body from the ground up through the legs, to generate power through the upper body. Symptoms associated with imbalance include mid and low back pain, neck pain, hip tightness, knee and ankle problems, TMJ and jaw pain, difficulty in breathing, groin pain, bowel or bladder changes, painful sex, infertility, shoulder pain, difficulty standing, abnormal walking patterns, and excessive muscle tension throughout the body. Even headaches and dizziness may be traced to a pelvic imbalance. Other practitioners focus on training or strengthening the muscles about the trunk and pelvis. The challenge with this approach is that often the tissue and fascia are already too tight which actually causes more weakness. At Trimotion we use myofascial release to free up the tissue and muscle in your body so that it can function normally again and without pain. Specific ways of strengthening the pelvis to re-establish normal muscle control is also important for treating pelvic and hip issues. Some of the pelvis health conditions that are often treated successfully with Myofascial Release include:
• Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome
• Interstitial Cystitis
• Vulvodynia/Vestibulitis
• Dyspareunia (painful intercourse)
• Urinary Incontinence/Voiding Issues

Post Surgical and Trauma Care Recovery
So often following surgery or an injury, people complain of deep pain at the scar site. Even very small scars can have far reaching effects. In fact, many people report that the pain can extend far beyond the scar site. When you experience an injury, the tissue that connects all of the pieces of your body called fascia, can be pulled tight causing stress on everything that is connected to and by that fascia. Gently releasing that fascia through Myofascial Release can have profound effects on pain and your body’s function, even when dealing with scar tissue that is decades old.

Treatment Approaches
We believe your entire body is both connected to and affected by your symptoms, that is why we take a unique approach in looking at your body. A condition that affects one part of your body, can also affect your mind, body and spirit. We take a holistic approach to Physical Therapy and Wellness.
Physical Therapy
This is not traditional physical therapy. Traditional physical therapy assumes that pain is caused by weakness. Traditional therapy is based on specific strengthening exercises, that supposes if you are better able to support yourself, your pain will diminish.
Physical therapy at Tri-Motion is very different. We recognize that the body is a complex system of interconnected systems and that each individual is unique. We believe that pain is often caused by excessive tightness within the body, which in turn creates pressure on different structures within the body. We work with your whole body to reduce or eliminate tightness, allowing you to move more naturally, without pain.
Myofascial Release Therapy
Dr. Emily is an Expert Myofascial Release Therapist. She holds the highest level of training available and has honed her skills through years of practice and application. People from all over the United States have sought out her expertise.
Movement Re-education

Healing for Trauma, Anxiety and Pain
We are highly experienced in engaging the body to provide deep healing sessions for individuals. As part of an advanced therapy program we work with individuals to continue their healing journeys far beyond their injury, illness or pain.
Reiki and Natural Energy Balancing
The body’s entire system is driven by the body’s energy. Low energy makes us feel tired and often results in challenges to the body. Energy that is too high often makes us feel stressed and can result in challenges to the body. A balanced system can help to keep your body functioning in a more balanced and nourishing state.
Therapeutic Alignment Yoga
Most physical therapy clinics offer a series of repetitious exercises for you to recover from an injury or enhance your balance and movement. We help you build lifetime skills by using yoga as a movement therapy. Amongst its many benefits it improves muscle tone, flexibility, strength, stimulates the immune system and helps to create a sense of well being and calm.
Breathwork and Mindfulness
Healthy breathing is essential for our bodies to remain in a healthy state. It helps to open and relax the body’s structure, move internal fluids and help us to be more energetic. We teach you how to get your breath back to a natural state, simply and effectively. Maintaining that natural state is accomplished through mindfulness practices.

We work with individuals to design wellness programs that help manage physical challenges, chronic conditions or just to remain as healthy as possible.
